After a major ice storm in January 2024 brought down close to a dozen mature trees, mostly Douglas Fir, on our property. Fortunately our home did not get hit, but our patch of forest was devastated. I pulled a large maple branch out of the wreckage and am (slowly) working to make a chair out of it.
